- 6 oz of breakfast sausage
- 1 ½ tablespoonful of butter
- 1 teaspoon of guar gum
- ¾ cups of heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
How to Make Keto Sauce Gravy: A Step by Step Guide
If you think that whipping up a keto gravy is complicated, think again! This one is pretty easy to make. In fact, it will take just 10 to 15 minutes to get done. If you are wondering how much carbohydrates this recipe contains, you will be happy to know that it is less than 2 g.
So are you ready to create a gravy recipe that you can pair with your delectable sausage recipes? Well, keep on reading!
Step 1. Cook the sausages.
Fry the sausages for 5 to 10 minutes for each side until they are browned. Remove the sausages from the pan after cooking but try to keep as much fat drippings in the pan as possible.
Step 2. Melt the butter.
Place the softened butter in the heated pan and allow it to melt.
Step 3. Add in the heavy cream.
Once the butter has completely melted (there are no more solid pieces), it is time for you to add the heavy cream to the pan. Stir it right away and wait for bubbles to form. Continue stirring for a while.
Step 4. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Add salt and pepper until the taste of the mixture is suitable for your preference.
Step 5. Add the guar gum
Now, here comes the thickening agent. Add the guar gum while the heavy cream is still bubbling. Stir vigorously right away to prevent the gum from clumping. Continue cooking the gravy until it is thick enough.

Step 6. Add the sausages back into the pan.
Once the thickness of the gravy already suits your liking, you can bring back the sausage bits into the pan. Stir it together then remove from the pan and serve.
